Book Signing this weekend in Athens, GA

Posted on 11/27/2012

On Sunday, December 2nd, Sam, his parents, and Katy will be in Athens, GA.

A book signing event will be held from 3 until 4 pm at The Avid Bookshop.  This bookstore is located on Prince Avenue which is the same street where Sam’s accident occurred. Years later, Sam returns to sign this book which has come to mean so much to so many people who can relate in one way or another. From that afternoon long ago when his friends were called in from the hall to say goodbye, Sam has worked hard and has overcome immeasurable odds.He is where he is today because of his efforts, excellent medical and rehabilitative care, and the love and support of family and friends.

It is only fitting that a celebration of this book which pays tribute to Sam be held in this location. As the cookbook says,”In the South, friends, family, and food are all tied together. This story about Sam celebrates all three.”

Look for Sweetness Follows on REM website

From the beginning, when we approached this group about the possibility of using their song title as part of the title of this book, they have been nothing but positive and encouraging. On their website under the news section, there is an article telling about the book and the upcoming book signing event that will be held in Athens in December.  We are so appreciative of their continued encouragement and support.
